Golden Francis has arrived in Somabay, Egypt, carrying Nigeria’s hopes at the 5th edition of the Miss Elite World pageant, where contestants from more than 35 countries are competing for the international crown.
The 24-year-old runway and commercial model entered the competition with an established pageantry background, having won the Miss Steph International Queen 2025 title before she was appointed Miss Elite Nigeria in May 2026.
Francis is now among the international delegates taking part in the competition at the Red Sea luxury resort, where activities began on September 8 and will continue through the grand finale on September 19.
The programme includes rehearsals, cultural tours and preliminary evaluations as contestants make their case for a place in the final stage.
At 175 cm, Francis has attracted attention within the pageant community for her runway walk and swimsuit presentation. She is managed by the Miss Steph Pageant organisation, with a campaign that combines modern sophistication with structural African grace.
Her appearance in Egypt gives Nigeria an opportunity to claim a title it has never won before. Francis is seeking to become the country’s first Miss Elite World winner, adding another international achievement to her pageantry journey.
The competition will reach its defining moment on September 19, when the winner is crowned in Somabay.
For Francis, the coming days will be about turning the experience, preparation and attention surrounding her campaign into a performance capable of taking Nigeria to the top of the competition.
