Elizabeth Adekunle Appointed Archdeacon of Hackney UK

Elizabeth Adekunle has been appointed as the new Arch-deacon of Hackney. She would be succeeding a Venerable Treweek in senior clerical role in the Diocese.
Her new appointment comes with responsibilities which would include overseeing parishes in Tower Hamlet, Islington and Hackney. Also, she would act in a supportive capacity as clergy, Diocesan policy executor and a supervisor/property officer for church buildings.
Elizabeth is a graduate of Theology from Birmingham University. In addition, she has two Masters degree. Her first Masters, also from Birmingham, is in African Christianity and Development while her second Masters, from Cambridge, is in Pastoral Care and Counseling.
While at Cambridge, Elizabeth was actively involved in supporting welfare structures at the college, offering counseling support to over 850 undergraduates inclusive of the research students and another 200 plus staff strength.
The Reverend Elizabeth Adekunle would resume her position in April 2016.
