Stallion Rolls-Out Made In Nigeria Nissan SUV

Automobile giant, Stallion Group, has successfully rolled out its first Nissan-branded vehicle from its Lagos assembly plant.

The group is Nissan’s exclusive distributor in Nigeria and has commissioned its automotive assembly facility to international standards.

Nissan’s association with local heavyweight, Stallion Group, in Nigeria has stimulated the brand’s prospects in the country and is expected to drive its growth plans with higher momentum.

Rolling out the first set of vehicles on Friday, the Managing Director, Stallion Auto Group, Tokunbo Aromolaran, said the development was the company’s way of keeping with its frontline position in the automotive industry.

“Stallion motors, in response to the new automotive policy by the Federal Government of Nigeria, rose to the challenge to establish the local production of its brands. This action has resulted in the local manufacture of the Nissan Patrol S.U.V,” he said.

The Nigerian Minister of Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga, said that the production of Nissan vehicles in Nigeria is part of a larger Africa-wide initiative that is aimed at creating jobs and reducing the number of vehicles imported from foreign countries.

“Apart from the role it plays in attracting investments into the country, it is a major part of industrialisation, of manufacturing. About nine million jobs are created in the sector,” Mr Aganga said.

Nissan has already established an effective network that covers the Nigerian market to ensure that its products are readily available in every nook and cranny of the nation.
