LASRRA SET TO REGISTER NOLLYWOOD STARS

The Lagos State Government is set to register all actors and artistes in the State as part of efforts to ensure that people residing in the State are adequately covered in the on-going residents’ registration exercise to provide the State Government with the accurate data for future development plans.

To this end, the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) has invited all members of Nollywood in the State, including Comedians, members of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), the Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (ANTP), the National Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (NANTP), the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and their families, to a special meeting.

The meeting, which is expected to be addressed by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), is slated for Tuesday, 3rd of June 2014 by 10.00am at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.

LASRRA has also requested all attendees to come along with proof of residency as well as identification which are the requirements for registration while two passport photographs as well as photocopies of birth certificate are required for the registration of children below the age of 16 years old.
