Governor Amobode Visits Kebbi State on Agricultural Collaboration

Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos State was received in Kebbi today by the Governor - Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and his team. This remarkable visit to Kebbi State further enhances the agricultural collaboration between Lagos & Kebbi.

The Lagos-Kebbi Agricultural Development partnership ‪#‎LASKEB‬ focuses on commodity exchange, job creation & value chains.

The Kebbi state government is also hosting technical committees from 7 Northwest states for an Intensive Workshop on Agriculture 3-5 June. The ARDP under auspices of North West Governors Forum is organising the workshop and delegates include commissioners, special assistants, Perm.Secs, Directors of Agriculture from the NW Zone.
Governor Ambode at a stop in government house Kebbi said the Lagos-Kebbi partnership is historical and visionary. He also visited the Labana Rice Mills.
The Anchor borrowers scheme launched by President Buhari in Kebbi last November empowered over 75,000 farmers during the dry season farming and the resounding success is visible for all to see. Other Agro states are set to benefit from the scheme and is one of the aims of the workshop holding in Kebbi this weekend.
