Chimamanda Adichie Nominated For Grammy Award

Award-winning writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been nominated for a Grammy Award.

The nomination is hinged on her collaboration with the American singer Beyonce on the song “Flawless”, which has become an iconic song for women around the world and which has also become the most popular song on Beyonce’s recent album everywhere across the globe.

BeyoncĂ©’s recent self titled album, which includes “Flawless”, is in the running for Album Of The Year at the Grammy Awards, and all major participants on the album are nominated, as is the practice.

Beyonce has spoken out about how much Chimamanda’s speech in TEDx on why ''We Should All Be Feminist'' inspired her and why she just had to sample it in her song.

Chimamanda Adichie, by virtue of this nomination, becomes the first Nigerian writer to be a Grammy nominee.
