Come 13th February 2016, First Viola Competitions (FVC) - Nigeria’s First International Choral Music Competition Platform would be debuting an event in Nigeria tagged ''Hours with the Masters''.

This event is a Chorale Competition among-st chorale groups in Nigeria which is also fused with an Art Exhibition from Artistes around the world. In addition, there would also be entertaining performances from celebrity singers.


According to the organizers, the idea behind the event is to further develop chorale excellence in Nigeria and beyond, whilst promoting arts and culture.

The aims and objectives of FVC also include the organization of international chorale festivals and competitions to further raise the quality of chorale art and to foster international peace and harmony. 

Furthermore, having regular activities aimed at bringing young people closer to indigenous choral art music, identify, nurture and develop talents among-st other things are key objectives of this organization. 

Choral competitions add value and meaning to the Nigerian life by fostering the creativity and positive impact of choral art music whilst engaging the public in the extraordinary experience of competition performances. It also helps participants develop their talent which leads to a lifelong learning as well as experiencing teamwork, self-discipline, life- long friendships and individual expression.
